Helen’s stool isn’t really designed, it does cheat a bit; it’s small and unassuming, so to give it a little glamor she decides to add a little brass glitter to the footrest, it’s not too much and very practical. Of course, the stool has to be sturdy but not too heavy so that it can move easily across the floor without scratching and marking, and it has to be somewhere between subtle and eye-catching to work with the kitchen it’s in. We think lots of exaggerated stools replace the simple style of the kitchen as the main feature and the piece of furniture you can’t help but notice every time. Helen’s stool is small and discreet.
